James R. Mault, MD, FACS
James R. Mault, MD, holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a medical degree from the University of Michigan. He completed his general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery residency training at Duke University Medical Center and is board-certified in both general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, with specialty practices in heart and lung transplantation, thoracic oncology and critical care. Dr. Mault has conducted academic medical research under numerous grant awards from the National Institutes of Health, the American Cancer Society and other organizations.
Dr. Mault is the author of more than 100 published scientific articles, chapters and books, and is the named inventor of dozens of issued and pending patents for a variety of medical devices and health monitoring systems and informatics. He maintains a clinical faculty position at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center, and is an active member of numerous medical and surgical societies, including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Heart Association.
Dr. Mault currently serves as Director of New Products and Business Development for the Health Solutions Group at Microsoft Corp.
